Run the Length of the Future Circular Collider: A Virtual Fitness Challenge!

 

Calling all fitness enthusiasts and science buffs!

The Department of Physics at the University of Liverpool is thrilled to announce, "Run the Length of the Future Circular Collider," a virtual fitness challenge designed to help you reach your health goals while exploring the exciting world of physics!

The Challenge:

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) may be the biggest and most intricate machine ever built, but a new champion is on the horizon! Scientists are designing the Future Circular Collider (FCC), a behemoth accelerator stretching an incredible 91 kilometres.

This virtual challenge invites you to run or walk the distance of the FCC at your own pace, from the comfort of your own neighbourhood. Lace up your shoes and embark on this scientific journey between September 1st and 30th, 2024. Track your progress and submit your results through our easy-to-use registration website.
